Law was born on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, as the fifth of five children to immigrant parents from Hong Kong and Malaysia. She attended Sunshine Coast school Immanuel Lutheran College, Buderim throughout her school years. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing at the
